BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- China's current account balance registered a surplus of 489.8 billion U.S. dollars in the first three quarters of 2025, according to data released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange on Friday.
The data shows that the country's surplus in the trade of goods reached 726.2 billion U.S. dollars during the period, while its services trade deficit came in at 155.8 billion U.S. dollars.
In terms of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), China's current account surplus was 363.9 billion SDRs during the period.
SDRs are interest-bearing international reserve assets created by the International Monetary Fund to supplement other reserve assets of member countries. ■
